What is a fine art print?
Fine art prints are high quality reproductions of original artwork. Usually the original work is scanned in at a high resolution, or a good photograph of the work is taken. I scan my artwork instead of taking photos as I feel the high quality scan captures the textures and details of the artwork better than a photo.
After the artwork is scanned it can be printed to create reproductions. Special archival paper is used to ensure that the print is of high quality and that it won’t fade over time. For Mood Forest art prints I use a small specialized local printer. To produce a good print, the print should be printed on a type of paper close to what it was originally painted on. I print on 300gsm archival paper that are either hot pressed (smooth), or cold pressed (textured) as needed. I have also recently added a more cost-effective fine art paper option of 192gsm to my shop.

You can even mix and match prints to create a gallery wall, or change them up if you have store-bought frames.
